Eric Hope | Owner & Master Electrician

Eric Hope is a New Hampshire native, a licensed master electrician, and the owner of Loyal Lab Electric & Generators in the Seacoast region.

He grew up here and found the trade in high school, studying at the Richard W. Creteau Regional Technology Center in Rochester and the Dover Regional Career Technical Center. He started working in the field in 2007, while still a student, and went full time after graduating from Spaulding High School in 2009. He spent the next decade learning the craft and, just as importantly, learning how to take care of customers

In 2018 he started his own company with a half-built shed, a magnet on the side of his truck, and $400 in the bank. Today Loyal Lab runs a fleet of service trucks across New Hampshire and southern Maine, handling residential electrical work and standby generator installations, with a team built around the standard Eric learned early: do the work right and communicate the whole way through.

The company is named for Rusty, Eric’s yellow lab, who spent thirteen years at his side through the training, the licenses, and the early days of the business. Rusty’s loyalty is the standard Loyal Lab holds itself to, and the company supports the local Humane Society in his honor.

Eric is one of roughly twenty contractors nationwide selected as a Housecall Pro Elite Super Pro, a group that advises on product direction and represents the software at industry events. He is also a contributing author on the Housecall Pro blog, where he writes about the systems and workflows small contractors can use to compete with much larger companies. In October 2026 he hosted the New York City Trades Thursday regional event in Brooklyn.

He lives in the Seacoast with his wife and son.

Why I Run My Business on Housecall Pro

We’ve run Loyal Lab on Housecall Pro since the early days, and it’s the backbone of how we operate. Our phones, scheduling, estimates, invoices, and customer information all live in one place, so our team always knows what’s going on and our customers get a consistent experience from the first call to the final invoice. It’s helped us earn hundreds of Google reviews, stay in touch with customers long after the job is done, and spend less time on paperwork and more time doing the work. What I value most is that they care about small companies, whether you’re running one truck or twenty. If you’re thinking about trying it, you can book a demo through my referral link below.
