ABOUT LOYAL LAB ELECTRIC & GENERATORS

Why "Loyal Lab"?
Meet Rusty.

Loyal Lab is named in honor of Rusty, a yellow Lab whose loyalty shaped the heart of this company.

Rusty was more than a family dog. He was a constant source of comfort and steadiness during the challenging early years of building the business. Through long workdays, late nights, and the growing pains of starting a company from scratch, Rusty was always there: patient, dependable, and unfailingly loyal.

His spirit became a symbol of the values we bring to every job: loyalty, integrity, steadiness, and genuine care.

The dog you see on our trucks and uniforms is Rusty himself. His likeness modeled from real photos, his name engraved on the collar. He’s not a mascot. He’s a promise:

To show up with the same loyalty he showed us, every single day.

That commitment inspired The Rusty Fund. Learn more about how every job gives back.

Eric Hope | Owner & Master Electrician

Eric was born in Exeter and grew up in Rochester, NH, the same communities he now serves as an electrician. He discovered the trade while attending Dover Regional Technical Center during high school, where he began his apprenticeship before most of his classmates had figured out their next step. After graduating from Spaulding High School he went to work full time in the field, earning his NH Journeyman license in 2014 and his Master Electrician license in 2015.

In January 2018 Eric founded Quality Electric with a straightforward goal: build a residential electrical company that does honest work and treats people the right way. In late 2025 the company became Loyal Lab Electric & Generators, named after Rusty, his yellow Labrador who was by his side for 13 years. Rusty showed up every day with the same loyalty and dependability that Eric has tried to build into every part of this business. The name felt right.

Outside of work Eric stays close to home. He and his wife Emily are raising their son Jaxson in the Seacoast NH community they both love. The same values that go into the business, loyalty, doing things right, showing up for the people who count on you, are the ones he’s trying to pass on at home too.

Eric leads a team of licensed electricians and apprentices serving homeowners across Dover, Portsmouth, Rochester, Somersworth, and the NH Seacoast. NH Master Electrician #13956 | ME Licensed Electrician #MS60021263.

Eric also contributes to the HouseCall Pro blog as a verified industry contributor. Read his articles here.

What Makes Us Different

A Local Company in a Corporate World Enhance the Comfort of Your Home

The home-services industry is shifting. Private equity firms and national franchises are rapidly buying up small, local companies, and with that shift, the personal touch is disappearing.

When ownership moves to a boardroom, priorities change. Decisions are driven by margins, not by mastery. Customers become numbers, not neighbors.

Loyal Lab is the opposite of that.

We are and will always be locally owned, locally operated, and personally invested in this community.

We are not a franchise.

We are not controlled by private equity.

We live here, work here, and raise our families here.

Our revenue stays in the community, not in a corporate headquarters across the country.

And here’s something rare: even as we’ve grown, the owner is still in the field, still meeting customers, still doing the work. If you ever have a question or concern, you can speak directly to him, not a call center.

From Quality Electric to Loyal Lab

For years you knew us as Quality Electric. In late 2025 we became Loyal Lab Electric & Generators, and the name change wasn’t a marketing decision. It was a reflection of who we’ve always been.

As the home services industry grew more corporate around us, we wanted a name that reflected not just what we do, but who we are. A name built on loyalty, integrity, and genuine commitment to this community.

Changing our name wasn’t about leaving the past behind. The same team, the same standards, and the same dedication to doing the job right are still here every day.

Electrical work is what we do. Loyalty is who we are.
