Rusty was a yellow Lab who was by Eric’s side for 13 years.
Through long days, late nights, and the early years of building this business from scratch, Rusty showed up the same way every single time. Patient. Steady. Completely loyal. No matter how hard the day was, he was always there when Eric got home.
When we renamed the company in his honor, we knew a name change wasn’t enough. Rusty’s memory deserved something real, something that put his spirit to work in the community he loved.
That’s where The Rusty Fund came from.
Every job we complete, every generator we install, a portion goes directly to supporting the dogs who need the same loyalty Rusty gave us every single day.
Every job we complete puts money directly into the hands of dogs who need it most.
The math is simple:
$10 donated for every completed job. $100 donated for every generator installation.
No minimums. No fine print. No corporate matching programs or annual fundraising drives. Just a straightforward commitment — every time a customer calls Loyal Lab, a dog gets a little closer to finding a home.
Since launching The Rusty Fund, every job our team completes in Dover, Portsmouth, Rochester, and across the NH Seacoast contributes directly to our partner rescue organizations.
Rusty had 13 good years. Every dog deserves that chance.
Pope Memorial runs almost entirely on donations and the dedication of their staff and volunteers. They put on fundraising events throughout the year, accept material donations from the community, and work tirelessly to find homes for animals in need across the NH Seacoast.
They do extraordinary work on a tight budget. That’s exactly why we chose them.
When you hire Loyal Lab Electric, a portion of every job goes directly to supporting their mission — the animals in their care, the events they run, and the community they serve.
We visited Pope Memorial as a family earlier this year. What we saw confirmed everything. These are good people doing important work and they deserve more support than they get.
Want to help beyond hiring us? Pope Memorial regularly posts lists of needed material donations on their Facebook page and hosts community events throughout the year. Following them and showing up makes a real difference.
One of their biggest annual fundraisers is their partnership with Haunted Overload at DeMeritt Hill Farm in Lee, NH — one of the most celebrated haunted attractions in New England, twice voted among the top 13 haunted attractions in the country. Each year Haunted Overload donates proceeds to Pope Memorial through their “Howl for the Animals” event. They also offer family-friendly daytime walkthroughs with no actors for those who want to experience the stunning detail of the haunt without the scares. It’s a great fall outing for the whole family and every ticket supports the shelter. Learn more about the Haunted Overload partnership here.
The Rusty Fund launched in spring 2026. Every job completed contributes directly to Pope Memorial Humane Society.
We make our first donation at the end of Q2 2026. Check back here to see the running total grow.
Jobs contributing to the fund: Every single one. First donation: Coming Q2 2026
A $10 donation might not sound like much on its own. But across hundreds of jobs a year it adds up to something real. Food, medical care, shelter, and second chances for dogs who need them.
Every generator we install adds $100. Every service call adds $10. It happens automatically, every time, no action required from you.
What’s coming:
This is just the beginning. We’re planning to be at Apple Harvest Day in Dover this fall with a Rusty Fund booth alongside Pope Memorial. Come find us and meet some of the dogs looking for their forever homes.
We’re also working on Rusty Fund merchandise. Hats, hoodies, and more with proceeds going directly to the shelter. More details coming soon.
The Rusty Fund isn’t just Eric’s personal project. It’s a reflection of the people who show up every day and do the work.
Our team are dog people. You’ll see it in the reviews. Customers mention it all the time. Clay showed up to a job and spent ten minutes with the family dog before touching a single wire. That’s just who these guys are.
When you hire Loyal Lab you’re not just getting licensed electricians who do great work. You’re hiring people who genuinely care about this community and the animals in it.
Rusty set the standard. The team carries it forward.
When you call Loyal Lab Electric, you’re not just getting licensed electricians who show up on time and do great work. You’re supporting a business that puts money back into the community you both live in.
Every outlet we fix. Every panel we upgrade. Every generator we install. A portion goes directly to Pope Memorial Humane Society and the dogs in their care.
Rusty showed us what loyalty looks like. Now we get to pass it on.
